While I honestly can’t remember the last time I actually spent Thanksgiving with my family, tis the life of a maybe-forever expat, I do however still value the holiday – or rather any day that prompts you to reflect on the things you should be grateful for. Personally, I truly feel thankful to have so many amazing people in my world, a career path I adore and a life that keeps on surprising me, especially this year.
Also , it goes without saying {but of course I will still say it} – I am very very grateful for this blog and for the people who take time out of their day, their life, to actually read it. I never imagined to have more than a few family members and friends following this blog and this year has been such an amazing experience. It has really motivated me to continue writing, sharing – and most of all, experiencing. This involves a huge sacrifice of drinking tons of wine and eating a plethora of wonderful food. So again, Thank you for enjoying Girl in Florence and supporting me on this blogging journey that I hope continues forever…
Or as long as Italy doesn’t kick me out anytime soon {anyone have questura connections?}.

I’m an Australian so Thanksgiving isn’t one of the holidays we celebrate but I am thankful for this wonderful blog that takes me in my imagination to my favourite city in the world. I can’t wait to be back. Only 4 more weeks to go … but I’m not counting 🙂
