Girl In Florence was started in late January 2012, a pet project started by me, Georgette Jupe after being frustrated trying to find updated information that interested me about my own city of Florence, Italy translated from Italian to English.

Now Girl in Florence has become more than just news and events, I talk culture clashes, mention local foodie hotspots, travel tips all over Italy and Europe (with a special emphasis on Tuscany), must-see lists and have recently joined a blogger roundtable called COSI.

Girl in Florence offers a great platform for luxury, travel and hotel brands to connect with a highly engaged global audience from countries such as the USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Continental Europe.

Last year has been a big one for myself, besides getting new career opportunities, you can find writing all about Italy and spurring on community action at Italy Magazine – it has been really exciting to see this blog grow and continue to be inspiration to write and share my personal life experiences living and working in the beautiful Renaissance city of Firenze.

girlinflorencebuttonLet’s talk numbers! GirlinFlorence has over 60,000 +  page views a month (about half are unique visitors) and has been online since 2012. The site has over 350 articles, all related to Italy and Europe (and now the USA) travel, food, events, news and more. Furthermore, GirlinFlorence is present on all major social networks with a very active and engaging presence.

What am I available for?

  • Editorial Reviews: Invite Girl in Florence to experience your service, hotel, vacation destination (travel costs must be covered) and I will write about the experience and share with my readers. I normally travel with my partner and prefer a non-group more, private experience sort of tour. I am open only to very specific kinds of product reviews, related to travel & health & beauty and fashion. This includes social media coverage on my social networks. Obviously I am not interested in any tourist ‘let’s visit Florence tour’ since I live and work here but any ‘off the beaten path’ sort of activity that would be unique for my audience
  • Blog Tours based in Italy and Europe & all over the world - I have a travel series titled “Why you should visit”  and I absolute enjoy doing blog tours for travel, food, culture. I am very selective about which blog tours I go on because of work but feel free to reach out. The travel section of my blog has become bigger than ever and I am very open to exploring other areas of Europe and writing about those experiences. Keep in mind that all travel costs should be covered in order for me to accept an International blog tour.
  • Speaking Engagements: I love talking about what inspired me to come to Italy, working freelance from anywhere in the world and travel blogging, I have done a TEDx talk for NYU in Florence in 2013 and would be interested in doing more. I also work as a social media consultant and would be open to seminars/speeches.

I am not interested in unsolicited guests posts on articles that would ‘interest my readers’. As far as I am concerned that would be a ‘sponsored post’ for which there is a fee. 99% of my blog is non-sponsored program and I accept very few proposals unless they are right for the blog and for my readers.
